At One Farrer, we believe that sustainability is an ongoing journey shaped by the choices we make and the actions we take. On 4 June 2026, we were pleased to welcome students from the Nanyang Institute of Management to One Farrer Hotel for an engaging Sustainability Tour. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for approximately 20 students and two accompanying lecturers to gain first-hand exposure to the sustainable practices implemented throughout our hotel.

As the students prepare to embark on their new module, Sustainability in Hospitality, the tour offered valuable real-world insights into how environmental stewardship can be integrated into daily hotel operations. Through the sharing of our sustainability initiatives and practices, students were able to explore how responsible approaches can be incorporated across different aspects of hospitality, while gaining a deeper understanding of the role the industry can play in building a more sustainable future.

Visitors stepped into The Farm at One Farrer Hotel and discovered the possibilities of growing commonly used fruits, vegetables and herbs in a high-rise urban setting in Singapore. The experience offered insights into how sustainable practices and thoughtful design could transform compact spaces into thriving green environments, supporting a greener and more self-sufficient city.

During the tour, participants were guided by our friendly team member, who shared useful tips and practical knowledge on maintaining an urban garden, while highlighting how urban farming can contribute to more sustainable living in Singapore.
